David Trubridge is an internationally recognized designer with an unusual story; his initial studies in Naval Architecture lead him back into the workshop, deepening his skill as a craftsman. David’s work came to prominence in 2001 when his Body Raft was purchased by Cappellini for manufacturing. The fluid and elegant lines of this piece responded to the designer’s accumulated experience and love of the ocean. The Coral light followed in 2003, establishing a blueprint for kit-set products that minimized environmental footprints whilst also involving the consumer in the creation process.
