Following an important transformation for these past years, the multi-generational, women-led company now includes Colombian partner Daniela Giraldo and will continue to build on its foundation of community, education, and curation. Through its diverse array of programs- including residencies, workshops, immersion trips, and a membership program- WantedDesign connects designers at every stage of their career with key players of the industry across the Americas and Europe.

Having established itself as a staunch supporter of both U.S. and international design, WantedDesign’s legacy includes the successful WANTED (previously known as the WantedDesign Manhattan show), which was acquired by Emerald Expositions in 2019 and is now a part of ICFF. Co-founders Odile and Claire embraced new challenges and opportunities as they stepped into their role as brand directors of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in 2023. This decision represents both of their commitment to design excellence as well as an opportunity to infuse ICFF with fresh perspectives and innovative directions.

Odile Hainaut, Claire Pijoulat, and Daniela Giraldo are the driving forces behind WantedDesign.

Odile, originally from Paris with a background in French Literature, Performing Arts, and Musicology, started her career at the design agency Raison Pure as Director of Communications. Her journey took a significant turn when she moved to New York in 1999, and founded R’Pure Gallery in 2007, a space dedicated to contemporary collectable design.

Claire’s career was shaped by her role as the marketing director for the French brand Roche Bobois, for which she developed strategies tailored for the US market. Before co-founding WantedDesign with Odile in 2011, Claire worked on communication and web-strategy projects for various design brands and international agencies.

Daniela joined the WantedDesign team as an intern in 2020. Her undergraduate degree in International Business, postgraduate degree in Interior Design from Milan, and Colombian roots brings a fresh perspective to the trio. Daniela’s promotion to partner reinforces WantedDesign’s commitment to connect the design community across North America, Latin America, and Europe.
