2023 Look Book studios announced

Excitement is building for the upcoming International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), North America’s premier contemporary furnishing design fair, and WantedDesign Manhattan, a ‘show within the show’ dedicated to high-end North American studios and international emerging designers. Taking place at New York’s Javits Center May 21-23, 2023.

Presented with media partner Dezeen, Look Book is a dedicated program for high-end North American designers, makers, and studios that serves as an in-person portfolio for the A&D community.

Participants for 2023 include returning exhibitors Ayumiya, Bowen Liu (image above), Caleb Ferris, Concrete Poetics, Ian Love Design, Erin Lorek, Mana Sazegara, NJ Roseti, Simon Johns, thehighkey and Will Choui.

Bestcase | NY-based design and manufacturing firm led by Charles Constantine and Randy Rollner. Their work exploits sheet metal details primarily used in mass manufacturing. By changing scale and application, Bestcase aims to create novel design objects.

CICIL | This brand makes rugs from the ground up, using 100% natural, renewable, and non-toxic materials. CICIL’s fiber is sourced directly from farmer cooperatives on the East Coast and manufactured in the Carolinas.

Concrete Poetics

Concrete Poetics | This Brooklyn-based studio comes back with a choir of hand-cast cement furniture and accessories, fabricated in small batches in Bushwick. Informed by nature, Concrete Poetics fuses technology and craft to explore material and formulate new handmade processes.

Sawyer Made

Sawyer Made | All of this studio’s pieces are built using local wood and traditional green woodworking techniques to create seating that is comfortable, flexible and durable.

JG SWITZER | Playing with nature’s palette of plant dyed, undyed, and 20+ types of raw fleece, Jessica Switzer Green “paints with wool” to create an artisan, felted fabric, through a process she pioneered.

Pax Lighting

Pax Lighting | A design and manufacturing studio of ceramic and brass light fixtures. Working with slip cast ceramic and custom glazes paired with hand-finished, precision-machined brass, Pax Lighting’s work explores mastery, high craft, and an elevated idea of “perfectly imperfect.”
