The Design Forum, on Tuesday May 19, at Industry City will close the 12 days of the NYCxDESIGN celebration and WantedDesign Brooklyn. Open to the public, this program will focus on design education and new challenges in educating design students, in the U.S. and abroad, with presentations and panel discussions bringing together design educators, design students and key design industry representatives from around the world.
Guest speakers will include Joel Towers, Executive Dean, Parsons School For Design, Jeremy Brazeal, LEGO ® Creative Director; Josh Owen, Professor and Chair of Industrial Design at RIT; Sebastián Ocampo, Chair of the Industrial Design program, CENTRO; David Mocarski , Chairman, Graduate & Under Graduate, Environmental Design, Art Center College of Design; Christopher Sancerre, designer, ENSCI-Les ateliers. 10:00am: “CREATIVE CURSE” LEGO Creative Director Jeremy Brazeal examines the negatives and positives of a creative mind.
10:30am: “Activating the Archive” The Vignelli Center for Design Studies Impact on Industrial Design at RIT, by Josh Owen, Professor and Chair of Industrial Design at RIT.
