French design at WantedDesign 2014

French design at WantedDesign 2014

Notable this year is the strong representation from France. Besides Ligne Roset, who returns for the 4th year, this time, introducing a new collection by Philippe Negro, we welcome 5 other French companies, all choosing to launch their brands with us, at WantedDesign 2014.
Ligne Roset
, new collection by Philippe Nigro
Known for its artful collaborations with both established and up-and-coming talents in contemporary design, Ligne Roset offers consumers an entire lifestyle in which to live both boldly and beautifully via its furniture collections and complimentary decorative accessories, lighting, rugs, textiles and occasional items. In-house manufacturing allows Ligne Roset to closely supervise the entire product creation process and uphold the highest production standards.
Looking to the future, Ligne Roset aims to continue to explore the limitless world of design-forward inspiration by working with designers from a broad spectrum of cultures and backgrounds. This trend is set to continue, illustrating afresh that the Ligne Roset brand is constantly evolving and seeking new challenges for the future. This year at WantedDesign, Ligne Roset will introduce pieces from its new collection designed by Philippe Nigro, awarded Designer of the Year for Now! Design à Vivre at Maison&Objet last January. Committed to nurture the design dialog, Ligne Roset is supporting the Conversation Series at WantedDesign for the 4th year.

MG French Design, founded in 2005 by Isabelle Mortreuil, combines interior and exterior design codes with a shrewd and sensitive eye. This year, for its first launch in the US, MG French Design will collaborate with Luc Josancy, Rémi Casado and Constance Guisset.

Julie Gaillard will exhibit her collection, Liseré, for the first time in New York City at WantedDesign. Named for the twisting border applied to fabric to create a connection between patterns, Liseré is a sleek and functional design in solid oak.

Haymann editions, a furniture design and manufacturing company founded by David Haymann, this year, entrusted Toni Grilo to design this first collection, convinced by the bold and sharp approach of his discipline. The designer, facing a unique creation opportunity, accepted the proposal. The result, we look forward to seeing in May!
