WantedDesign is a platform dedicated to promoting design and fostering the local and international creative community throughout the year. Its two marquee events are held in New York during NYCxDESIGN.
Celebrating design education and and the young creatives
Though the May 2020 edition of WantedDesign Manhattan and Brooklyn have been cancelled, we still invite you to discover the 30 design schools which were going to be part of the events this year.
Design education is a key component of WantedDesign’s programming, from our Schools Exhibitions at WantedDesign Brooklyn to our Design Schools Workshop, as well as the Schools presenting students work at WantedDesign Manhattan.

Auburn University School of Industrial and Graphic Design

The School of Industrial + Graphic Design at Auburn University resides in the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction. Both programs are nationally recognized and the industrial design programs, graduate and undergraduate, remain as the only degree programs of their type in Alabama. Auburn has intentionally crafted distinct Foundation studios for 1st and 2nd year students. While there is certainly some overlap in content (color, 2D composition, 3D form development), the projects are able to focus on discipline specific deliverables and learning outcomes.

First dedicated to printing, École Estienne has become an institute of visual communication, graphic design and book art. The DSAA Design & Digital creation is intended for students wishing to engage in a career in the field of communication on digital media and interactive design. ENSCI-Les Ateliers became the first school entirely devoted to design in France, it has been ranked first among French “Art and Design” training institutions in the annual QS World University Rankings. Today, it is ranked 22nd among the 800 best schools and universities in the world. Two diplomas are offered in initial training: Textile designer and Industrial Designer, each at Master level.
